The Garden Route Foods processing facility is equipped with advanced technology and quality control systems. Inspections are carefully carried out by experienced personnel to ensure that our product maintains a high value and quality controlled standard.
Our processing facility is compliant with the R638 food standards and regulations (Certificate of Acceptability) and a hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP).
Garden Route Foods is focused on the quality of the snails and have very strict conditions for farmers to abide by in order to standardise produce. We have an onsite laboratory whereby we do our own tests and quality checks. We also make use of external independent testing facilities.
At Garden Route Foods we have a passionate, hard-working team that strive to provide and produce a premium quality product. Senior management personnel are SETA Food Safety R638 Accredited (The South African Food Hygiene Regulation).
All staff members have been equipped with an understanding of Food Safety Practices, Hygiene and Principles based on the South African food and safety guidelines, standards and regulations, and have received specialized in-house training.
