Garden Route Foods is a proudly South African enterprise that aims to promote a culture of sustainable production and procurement choices in South Africa.

Our farmers are located throughout South Africa and provide an exclusive supply of snails to the processing plant. All of our snails are carefully selected and hand-picked from approved farmlands that uphold a quality control standard and policy. Our snails are raised on natural vegetative and specialized snail feed, free of pesticides, herbicides, unnatural enhancers and hormones. It is of utmost importance that all snails remain healthy and well looked after while in their free-range growing paddocks.

Our supply chain is upheld by implemented and administered rules and regulations as to ensure exceptional quality. An effectual traceability process is dedicated towards snail homogeneity. Farmers operate under controlled stock density regulations that will maximize potential while maintaining a free-range husbandry
